Alloy 617 is a nickel chromium cobalt molybdenum filer metal designed primarily for MIG and TIG welding of Inconel® 617 base material. Excellent for high temperature applications involving dissimilar metals such as joining Inconel® 600, 601 and Incoloy® 800 HT. Alloy 617 weld deposits have excellent mechanical stability, oxidation and corrosion resistance as well as good stress rupture properties at temperatures up to 2000oF. This filler metal is commonly used in the aerospace industry
for engine components, after burners, turbine seals; heat treating equipment and many other high temperature service applications.
